MRG Studio brings together landscape architecture, architecture and horticulture to provide integrated landscape design services for the creation of sustainable places for living. We believe in improving the health of people, animals and the Earth we share by shaping our environment and strengthening our communities.
We draw from our wide-ranging experiences in the design of public spaces around the world, projects that include highly technical hard landscaping, site-sensitive planting design and a deep understanding of how our environment can enhance the quality of our lives. Landscape is our medium, but the relationships we engage with are social, economic, historical, cultural and ecological.
Our core design competences are landscape architecture, masterplanning, horticulture and ecological restoration. On larger projects we also support our clients by coordinating the work of collaborating engineers, architects, lighting designers, interior designers, water feature designers and cost consultants.
Architect Jose Rosa and landscape architect Jennifer Mui met in 2006 while working at Gustafson Porter, each leading multidisciplinary design teams on high profile public spaces around the world. Phil Griffiths joined their design team as a horticultural consultant through the Kew Innovation Unit in 2008 and has stayed involved with all their planting schemes since.
Jose began his career at Sauerbruch Hutton in Berlin and Jenn at Mosbach Paysagistes in Paris and Olin Partnership in Philadelphia. Prior to MRG Studio, Phil managed five glasshouse conservatories at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew for over twenty years, coordinating year-round public displays and sixteen annual orchid festivals.
MRG Studio is a registered practice of the Landscape Institute. Jose is registered with the Architects Registration Board, Jennifer is a chartered member of the Landscape Institute and Phil is a member of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture.
We have enjoyed working with a wide range of disciplines and professionals in both the public and private sectors. Here are some of the wonderful organisations we have worked with over the last few years:
